apples & bears is an illustration and surface pattern design studio started by Lisa Gomez, in the english countryside just outside London.

Lisa is an illustrator, designer and print maker who’s designs have appeared on a range of goods from apparel for companies such as Whistles to Armani, to tabletop & paper products for paperchase.

She began her creative career in retail design, specialising in photo shoots and illustration before going on to be an in-house designer for Paperchase. 

Following the success of many leading ranges in Paperchase including Cloud 9, Food Friends and Lisa Floral (see below), Lisa decided to launch apples & bears, producing a collection of various designs from digital graphics to hand drawn creations.
